64mm Skateboarding Vlog

I sometimes like the quick and short Videoe Podcasts. You know the ones that last 1 to 3 minutes and are easy to digest. They leave you wanting more feeling and that good. The 64mm Skateboarding Vlog has this quality. It’s an easy painless download and offers that good feeling in a short Video Podcast. Fellow Skateboarders will enjoy!

GQ All Access Video Podcast

GQ Men of the Year Party 2005

This Video Podcast has a TV quality look and feel. The magazine is well done this Video Podcast looks well done but the content comes up really dry. I feel I have waste my time with this download. I may come back to see if this Video Podcast has improved but then again there are so many better Video Podcasts still to review I may just leave it behind.

Digital Life Video Podcast

The Digital Life Video Podcast (dl.tv) is entertaining and informative. It can sometimes drag a little as the hosts fall off topic here and there. It's still a good download and worth subscribing to if you like to stay up with technology stuff. I don’t mind the commercials too much except that they are the same commercials over and over in the same Video Podcast.

All in all this Video Podcast is getting better and better as they grow their audience and experience.

Create Your Video Podcast

Creating your own music videos, video podcasts or home movies has never been easier with today's software for both PC and Mac.

Just about all these products are a great buy and usually are under $100.

DiggNation

Here we find Kevin and Alex chatting from Japan. Cool episode!

From the website digg.com, comes the Video Podcast DiggNation. I find this a very entertaining Video Podcast where Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht chat about the most dug stories of the week on digg.com. I first hear about DiggNation from the Podcast “TWIT” (This Week In Tech).

My Rating on this Video Podcast is Subscribe!

Rocketboom

Rocketboom.com Review by Chad Spacey

Here, (Rocketboom http://www.rocketboom.com) we find a Video Podcast of a lady reporting the news. It's funny, it's diet cokey it has 100,000 viewers. Rocketboom daily with Amanda Congdon is good dumb fun. I like her news reporting!

Oh I like the way you drink that diet coke. Yum!

This is one Video Podcast you can't miss. At the end of this episode there is a great PSA on telling your child the truth about Santa. Very heart felt. I'll skip the advide this year and let my daughetr go on believing just a little longer.

Begin with iTunes.com

Begin with iTunes.com

I will use Video Podcasting and Vidcasting interchangeably to mean the same thing: Downloadable armature TV shows.

I like iTunes so surf on over to http://www.itunes.com and download the current version of the software.

After downloading and installing iTunes on your favorite platform (well Windows or Apple OS X) enter the Music Store and find the Podcasts link and enter the world of Podcasts and Video Podcasts.

Here we can find loads and loads of great content. I like the Slashdot Review Podcast and The All In Poker Podcast on MySportsRadio.com. If you look closely you will find a mix of Vidcasts as well. These Podcasts have a little TV type symbol next to them to indicate they are Video. These are the shows I will be reviewing. ITunes is the place where you can most easily find these Video Podcasts.

All things current…

All things current…
The Internet, E-mail, chadspacey@gmail.com, Websites, Amazon.com, Web Directories, Yahoo, MP3, Auctions, eBay, P2P, Napster.com, Apple iPod, Search Engines, Monolux.com, Google.com, iTunes, RSS, Blogging, BitTorrent, Podcasting and now Video Podcasting or Vidcasting.

I know there is more like Ajax, Ruby on Rails and Digg.com but that is just a quick summery of the now. I’m going to be reviewing the Video Podcasts of the now because there will be great growth in this and the ipTV ideas coming from the future.

We start with Apple, the iPod and iTunes…

With the iPod you can listen to your favorite music either by ripping your CD collection or buying tunes off iTunes. At some point people began creating a new form of radio show. A radio show that would be downloaded and play later. These first people making the radio like shows called this new medium Podcasting. They called it Podcasting, mostly because you would listen to the shows on your iPod.

Later using the same technique people started creating a video version of the shows. These shows are called either Video Podcasts or Vidcasts. This is really just a TV show for the web. The main difference is they are made for the web to be downloaded and viewed as you please.

I like to use iTunes on my Windows machine. I feel that the success of the iPod, Podcasting and the future of Video Podcasting have greatly to do with a single decision to create a version of iTunes for Windows. You may disagree but this is my opinion. It is now that I am both a Windows and Apple fan and no longer engage in the futile arguments about which is better.

Video iPod

Since this Blog is all about Vidcasts / Video Podcasts it is not really necessary to buy or have an iPod or Video iPod but you want one please do buy one here. I think black is cool!

Thank You - Chad Spacey
